Greenhouse Medical adheres to strict regulations set by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration. As such, we are unable to disclose specific treatment names until after you've completed a consultation with one of our Medical specialists and have been approved for treatment.

They will advise if that medication is available* and suitable for you and your health condition and also compare it to other treatment options available to you so you can make an informed decision together.

Because every individual responds differently to medical care, there is no standardized timeline for treatment outcomes. The progression and efficacy of any management plan depend entirely on individual physiological factors, medical history, and the specific nature of your chronic condition.
Our independent doctors and nurse practitioners prioritize personalized, precise patient care.

During your initial clinical assessment and subsequent follow-up consultations, your treating practitioner will work closely with you to monitor your symptoms, review your response to care, and make safe, evidence-based adjustments to your treatment framework as clinically required.

How do I store my medication?

Always follow the storage instructions written on the box or packaging that your medication came in from the pharmacy. In general, natural medication should be stored at below 21°C and away from moisture and sunlight.

Can I make Changes to my prescription?

Accepted Answer

As with all prescribed medications, If you are wanting to try a new type of medication that you do not currently have a prescription for or get further guidance from a practitioner, you will need to book a follow up consultation.

Alternatively, if you want to review or make changes to your treatment plan or prescriptions, we recommend booking a follow-up consultation.

The clinic staff can only provide guidance based on the notes provided to us by your doctor or based on the medication information available to us – such as your dosing requirements and how to take your medication.

What should I do if I am experiencing a side effect to my prescribed treatment?

If you believe you are experiencing a negative side effect as a result of taking your prescribed product, please stop taking the medication immediately and contact us by calling 07 5625 3333. Once we are aware of your situation, we will notify your prescribing doctor who will be able to recommend an appropriate course of action. If you are having a medical emergency, please call 000 or present to a hospital emergency department immediately.

No. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription or a specific medical outcome.

Our independent practitioners conduct a comprehensive, individual clinical assessment to determine the safest and most appropriate management plan for your health.

This evaluation carefully balances a range of clinical factors, including your specific condition, presenting symptoms, current and past medical history, potential contraindications, and whether you are pregnant or planning to conceive.

If, following this thorough review, the practitioner determines that medical intervention is not clinically indicated or appropriate for your situation, they will discuss alternative care pathways or next steps with you. Can I drive when taking my prescription medications?

During your consultation, your  medical practitioner will discuss your prescribed treatments with you in detail, informing you of any driving restrictions associated with your medications. If your treatment does not contain any of the active ingredient that causes psychotropic effects , you will likely be able to drive as normal.

Some holistic medication is known to have impairing effects. and you may not to drive or operate machinery while being treated with any medication that results in psychotropic effects.

Driving with any detectable amount of psychotropic medication in your system is currently a criminal offence in all states in Australia (except Tasmania), even with a prescription.

What happens if there is an availability issue with a recommended treatment plan?

If a pharmacy encounters a supply disruption or stock shortage regarding a treatment plan recommended by your practitioner, our administrative team provides seamless support to ensure continuity of care.

Patients can securely submit an update request directly through their password-protected Patient Portal. Our clinical coordination team will facilitate communication between your treating practitioner and the dispensing pharmacy to review safe, clinically appropriate alternatives or adjustments.

You will be notified directly via your secure account or email once your updated management plan is finalized and ready for collection at your chosen pharmacy.

The quickest way to change your dispensing pharmacy is to simply take your e-script to the pharmacy you choose to dispense your medication, and have them email us for additional paperwork.

What is a or repeat interval? (dispensing interval )

A repeat or dispensing  interval refers to the time period between consecutive refills of a prescription medication. It indicates how frequently a patient can obtain a new
supply of the medication without needing a new prescription.

The purpose of repeat intervals is to help prevent excessive or inappropriate use of these drugs, reduce the risk of dependence or addiction, and enhance patient safety.
Attempting to refill the prescription before the designated time will lead to refusal by the pharmacist.

We understand that the are times where an employer and or travel to certain locations might require more information that a standard patient certificate. Greenhouse Medical Clinic is unable to provide a medical certificate of this nature as we do not offer in person consults.

Because of this, we are unable to access your dispensing records or determine how many repeats you have remaining. The most accurate way to find this information is to consult directly with the pharmacy you used to dispense your medications.

A copy of your Special Access Scheme (SAS) or Authorised Prescriber (AP) approval if applicable.
